About Department

The Department of Political Science at Vivekananda College was established in 1986 under the University of Calcutta and now it is running under West Bengal State University. We offer B.A. (Major, 4 years' course) and B.A. (Minor 3 years' course) programs, focusing on theoretical and practical knowledge of government and politics at local, national, and international levels.

Faculty and Research

Our faculty includes:

- Dr. Siddhartha Chatterjee (Associate Professor, Development Studies, 19+ years experience)

- Dr. Jhilam Poptani (Associate Professor, International Relations, 20+ years experience)

- Sukur Ali (State Aided College Teacher-1, Public Administration 08+ years experience)
