About Department
The department of Education of Vivekananda College is one of the pillars of the Arts Faculty. The department began its journey in the year 1994 with pass course, after that Honours course was introduced in 2003 under the University of Calcutta. Now the college is under the affiliation of West Bengal State University and the department is enriched with P.G course along with the previous courses. The results of the students of the department in the university examination were remarkably satisfactory for several years since inception. Now the department has three Assistant Professor and five SACT teachers working to manage the teaching load. The present faculty is competent in handling the entire course efficiently which is proved by the performance of the students. The department maintains good and harmonious student-teacher relationship and the department is committed to providing a value-based, career-focused, and high quality education to our students.
